The Department of Geology is ranked 1st in funding in the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Patras for the period 2020-2023, with a budget of well over 1 million euros per year. The stable funding of our research demonstrates both the dynamism of the Department and the increasing role of geosciences in addressing issues related to georisks, managing natural resources, and mitigating environmental challenges.
