From Patras to the University Campus and back

	by Car The University is located about 8 km from the city of Patras. Coming from the centre of Patras, you may follow Korinthou Street to its end, Panepistimiou Street and after the indoor athletic stadium "Dimitrios Tofalos" you turn on the right, following the signs. Coming from Athens, follow the exit for Rio Bridge, keeping though the right lane. Exit towards the East Rio dock and turn right as soon as you reach the coast, following the signs driving you to the University Campus, through Egnatia street.
	by Taxi There are about one thousand taxis available in the city of Patras. Many taxis work on a 24-hour basis. You can hire a taxi at a taxi stand. Taxis can also be requested by telephone using one of the following numbers: 1300, 2610-346700, 2610-450000
	by suburban railway The Central Railway Station (OSE) is located in Patras downtown. From there the Suburban Railway (Proastiakos) runs every one hour connecting the city with Kastelokampos Station (10 min. walking distance from the Stavropoulos Dormitory). From Kastelokampos Station, OSE bus takes the passengers to the University Hospital and the Campus and vice versa. Proastiakos runs every 1 hour between 06.30 - 22.30 the route St. Andreas - Patras - Kastelokampos - Hospital - University and every 1 hour between 06.57 - 22.57 runs the route University - Hospital - Kastelokampos - Patras - St. Andreas. The ticket costs 1.4 Euro/trip and 1 Euro/trip for students. There is also a monthly student card, which costs 10 Euros for students. With Proastiakos the passenger has the possibility to carry also her/his bike.
