The access of visitors to the University of Patras \/ Department of Geology from Patras and vice versa is achieved in one of the following ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By bus<\/h3><\/div>

The city bus number 6, which starts at Ermou Street, runs every 10-15 minutes throughout the academic year. As the number 6 does not come exclusively to the University, care is needed and there should be a destination sign on the bus. Students are entitled to a reduced fare during the university year.

By Car<\/h3><\/div>

Coming from Athens <\/strong>via the Athens – Patras highway, take the right turn right immediately after the toll (to “Ioannina – Rio” and the University Hospital). After 300m, at the point where the road splits, take the left road that goes under the bridge and follow the signs to the University Hospital. After ~500m you will see the University Hospital. This is where the University campus begins. When you are at the intersection in front of the entrance of the University Hospital, turn right and enter the University at the 3rd roundabout that leads to the Central Administration (Building A). There will be an earlier roundabout with a sign for the Department of Geology, but the corresponding side gate is closed for reasons of safety. At the traffic light turn left, continue for ~400m and turn left again. At the end of the road that you’ve entered and just before the gate of the campus, you will see the Department’s parking at your left.

If you are coming from Patras,<\/strong> you can follow the New National Road Patras Athens – Exit for Rio Hospital and continue based on the above directions. <\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

By Taxi<\/h3><\/div>

Taxis in Patras are available 24 hours a day. Some radio taxi call numbers are 18300, 2610346700, 2610450000. The nearest stations to the University are at the Rector’s Office (building A) and at the Hospital of Rio.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

By train<\/h3><\/div>

The Patras Suburban Railway<\/a> connects Patras with Rio. The ticket costs \u20ac1.40 and \u20ac1 for students per journey. A monthly student card is also issued at a cost of \u20ac15. On the suburban train, the passenger is also given the possibility to carry his\/her bicycle.
The route Castelokambos -> Hospital -> University and vice versa and the route Agios Vasileios -> Castelokambos and vice versa are covered by a bus line, which stops nearby the Department’s building<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
